Please be thorough in providing us with any conflicts you have for practice in a typical week. We understand that there might be exceptions, but this is your opportunity to let us know about weekly, scheduled obligations that you have. For instance: Monday - not available because I babysit; Tuesday - Can practice anytime from 3:00-8:00; Wednesday - I am not available for practice until 5:00 due to band practice; etc.)

All members must report their availability for each tournament.  Beginners are eligible for the NSDA Nat Qual Team and the State Team so fill out information for all dates. Please fill this out with your parents so that everyone is aware of conflicts.

The coaching staff is excited that you have expressed interest in the team!  We want you to commit yourself to becoming an excellent Storm speaker.  Know that by signing this form, you are telling the coaching staff that you are able and willing to make the commitment to the Storm Speech Team.  

This means that, at a minimum, you are committing to the following:
Attend all tournaments on the tournament contract (unless you have received permission in advance or at your audition to miss the tournament. *

Come prepared to your weekly speech practice with your coach. Regularly scheduled practices start in November.  ALL TEAM MEMBERS are required to attend one 30-45 minute practice per week.  These sessions can be likened to piano lessons.  They are individualized.  Depending on coach availability, you may select after school or evening times.  The majority of coaches are available between 3:00 and 6:00 pm.  Some practice from 6:00 until 8:00.   To be on the team, you must devote time to prepare and practice outside of the scheduled sessions with your coach.   *
