We have reached enrollment capacity for all weeks of Summer Latchkey and now have a waiting list for care. Families may still enroll, but will be placed on the waiting list. If an opening becomes available, families will be contacted based on the timestamp of the online registration.

Derby Summer Latchkey is open to students from any district grades K-5 . Students must have completed kindergarten during the 2023-2024 school year to be eligible. Please fill out a form for each child enrolling in the Summer Latchkey Program.

ENROLLMENT
- Summer Latchkey has a limited number of spots for care and enrollment is on a first come, first served basis.
- You may enroll your student in any number of weeks, 1-9.
- Confirmation of enrollment is upon receipt of all forms (online and paper) and payment.
FEES
$35 Registration Fee per student: One time, nonrefundable, non-transferable (due within three business days after completing online enrollment).
$120 weekly rate per student. We are an enrollment based program, so this is a set weekly rate regardless of the number of days your child attends. Week #5 will be prorated due to the July 4 holiday.
$20 Deposit for Each Week of Care Selected: Nonrefundable, non-transferable, required at enrollment for each week of care in which you enroll (due within three business days after completing online enrollment).
- Fees, weekly rates and deposits include the following items: T-shirt, daily snack, field trips, swimming, and district transportation to and from all field trips. Breakfast and lunch will be provided through the District's Free Summer Meal Program.
- Rates for USD 260 Employees: $96 per week + one time $35 enrollment fee per student. Please provide employment information below in parent/guarding section.
PAYMENT
- A $20 non-refundable, non-transferable deposit for each week of care selected along with the $35 enrollment fee are due within three business days of the time of online enrollment. Payments not received within that time frame will result in the student being moved to the waiting list.
- Remaining balances for care ($100 per week) are due NO LATER than 6:00 pm the Monday, one week prior to care. A $10 late fee will be assessed at that time.
- Payments not made in full by the Thursday prior to care will result in the student being dropped from that week of care.
- Should you wish to cancel any week or weeks of care, notification must be received no later that 6:00 pm the Thursday, prior to care selected to avoid being charged for the full week of care.
MEALS
Breakfast, lunch and snack will be provided daily.
WHAT TO BRING TO SUMMER LATCHKEY
- Students should bring a water bottle, labeled with first and last name (WATER ONLY).
- For safety purposes, students should wear tennis shoes or closed toed shoes each day.
- Small backpack
- Small pillow and/or blanket for daily quiet time (must fit securely in locker along with other personal items).
- Sunblock or other sun protection (labeled with first and last name).
- On swimming days: Swimsuit, towel, flip flops, sun protection.
WHAT NOT TO BRING TO SUMMER LATCHKEY
- Please do NOT bring any flavored or colored beverages in student water bottle (unless it is sent with sack lunch and is securely sealed). This is a district policy.
- Please do NOT send food to be eaten outside of designated meal times. All food must be served and consumed within designated times and areas.
- Please do not bring any toys or personal items from home.
