Literary Cleveland Summer 2024 Class Proposals
Please use the form below to submit your class proposal(s) for May-August 2024.

Right now, we plan to hold some classes in-person and some online via Zoom. Please indicate your preference.

Instructors are paid $50/hour for classes.

Submission deadline is Monday, January 29.

CURRENT NEEDS
For Summer 2024, we are specifically looking for shorter classes (as many people are on vacation) and more experiential classes (like the novelist summer camp) that take advantage of summer months. We are looking for:

– Single-session craft talks on specific topics (e.g. plotting, scenes, line breaks, structure)
– Publishing classes and talks (e.g. intro to publishing, finding an agent, NF book proposals)
– Summer writing groups/experiences (e.g. Novelist summer camp, outdoor programs)
– Multi-week classes in each genre (F, NF, P) and at each level (Intro, Intermediate, Advanced)

Although we are looking for these classes, we are interested in new classes that fill gaps in our offerings or that present new opportunities for underserved writers.

DEADLINE
Please submit your proposals by end of day on Monday, January 29.

REVIEW AND RESPONSE
Your proposal will be reviewed by staff and the entire programming calendar will be reviewed on an ongoing basis by the Lit Cleveland programming committee—a mix of Lit Cle board members and at-large community volunteers.

Feel free to inquire before writing a full proposal by contacting Matt Weinkam at mweinkam@litcleveland.org.

Thank you!
