Because our volunteers serve in public facing roles, it is important they be able to accommodate patrons in the official language of the patron's choice. Even if a volunteer doesn't speak a patron's language, if they are polite and can help the patron locate another volunteer to assist, he or she will still feel welcomed and understood. If instead the volunteer were to simply tell the patron they don't understand them or speak their language, that would not be in keeping with the welcoming atmosphere for which the Capitol theatre is known.
