While we organize fewer programs during the summer, we use that time to prepare for the coming year, apply for grants, and plan welcome week events.
That's where the summer interns come in!
Hillel's Summer Internship don't have specializations but perform a range of tasks related to engagement, development, programs, and operations. The summer interns will have the opportunity to organize some Shabbat programs, host a Fourth of July event, call our donors to say thank you, and help make our annual impact report.
Please Note:
- Hillel Summer Internships are not open to incoming first-year students.
- Hillel Summer Interns must be enrolled in one of the schools served by Hillel at Davis and Sacramento.
- Residence in Davis or Sacramento is preferred, but the internship can be tailored to a remote format. Just let us know what your living situation will be like this summer.
- All interns will be compensated with a stipend upon completion of the internship.
- We can accommodate up to two interns maximum.
- Applications are due by 12 pm on Friday, April 18, 2025.
The internship will begin on June 28 (after the Hillel Birthright Trip) and end in mid-September before classes resume. You will coordinate the exact end date with the staff of Hillel.
Lastly, please email your resume and one reference to Hallie Unger at HallieU@HillelHouse.org.
Interviews will be conducted shortly thereafter via Zoom or in-person.
References should include contact information (name, relationship, phone number, and email address) of a reference. No friends or family members, but you can include professors, coaches, Rabbi, or past supervisors.
