7.930/20.930 course information and questionnaire
This Fall 2022 semester, 20.930/7.930: Research Experience in Biopharma will run for the 8th time. We pair graduate students with industry mentors to conduct research on-site at a local biotech or pharma company. Students work at the company 10 hours/week and attend weekly lectures covering topics of science and business in the biotech/pharma industry.

Recent host companies have included Novartis, Pfizer, and Amgen. Feedback from past students and mentors has been overwhelmingly positive.

PLEASE complete this form and PRE-REGISTER at student.mit.edu by June 16 (very helpful to us for knowing interest).

Class will meet 1 hour/week for lectures and workshops, tentatively M 1-2P. The class requires 10 hours per week of project time on site at a local company. We hope projects will be on site, as many were in the spring.

If you know anyone else who is interested in the class, please send them this form and put them in touch with us.

No industry experience necessary or expected.
You must be a PhD student who has passed your department's qualifying exams.
Enrollment is open to students in any relevant program, not just 7 and 20.
International students will need to apply to use OPT, which takes ~3 months.
This course will be offered ONLY in the fall semester.

Instructors for the course are Prof. Amy Keating <keating@mit.edu> and Dr. Sean Clarke <saclarke@mit.edu>.
