The American Heart Association, Center for Disease Control and the Department of Health and Human Services recommends that children ages 3-5 should be physically active throughout the day (up to 3 hours) to enhance growth and development. Children between the ages of 6-17 should get 60 minutes of moderate to vigorous physical activity daily.  It is recommended that adults get 150-300 minutes (2.5 -5 hours) of moderate to vigorous activity each week.
