Landowner Participation Agreement for the following grants:
1. Fort Ross Road Fuels reduction Project: funded by the Sonoma County Vegetation Management Program.
2. Evacuation Route and Hazardous Fuels Reduction Project: currently in the grant proposal stage.

The Coast Ridge Forest Council (CRFC) is submitting a grant proposal to CAL FIRE for creating evacuation routes on ranch roads. This is Phase II of an area wide fuels reduction project to reduce risks of hazardous wildlands fire. Phase I, to create shaded fuel breaks along Fort Ross Road, will begin this summer (2022) and was funded by a $423,000 grant from the County of Sonoma Vegetation Management Grant Program.

**Project Summary:** The purpose of the project is to improve the safety of ranch roadways in the event of an approaching wildfire. Vegetation clearance along the identified routes will aid in evacuation for residents and better access for first responders and emergency vehicles.

Proposed fuels treatments will be constructed along Bohan Dillon Rd., Blue Jay Rd., Muniz Ranch Rd. and priority designated private ranch roads. Treatment distances will be variable, depending on slope and relative geography.

When completed the treated roads will become part of a shaded fuel break network comprising Muniz Ranches, Jenner Headlands Preserve, and Sonoma Land Trust’s Little Black Mountain and Pole Mountain. The project area (Cazadero) is designated a High Fire Severity Zone in the CAL FIRE FRAP Map and is designated as a Community at Risk by the California State Forester.

If grant funding is awarded, the CRFC agrees to provide a summary of services that will be conducted on my property before any work begins. These services will be performed in a way to ensure the sustainability of the forest resource such that current management options will continue to be possible in the future.

By agreeing to voluntarily participate in the CRFC Evacuation Route and Hazardous Fuels Reduction Project, I understand that this would be a long-term commitment and I am willing to participate in community maintenance as needed.
