Broome County Veterans - "Learn to Grow Garlic"
Join CCE Broome and Linda Svoboda, Horticulturalist, on August 17th at 6pm in Cutler Botanic Gardens as we learn what it takes to grow great heads of garlic in your own garden. We will start by visiting the Heritage Vegetable Garden in Cutler Botanic Gardens and be guided by Broome County Master Gardeners on the proper process for bed preparation and planting of garlic. Afterwards we will move inside to discuss planting, growing, harvesting, curing and preserving techniques will all be discussed. Veterans will bring home some garlic to plant in their gardens. A partner, spouse, or family member is able to attend with the veteran.
