Flamenco at Little Big Minds, Summer, 2023
Dance develops rhythm, expression, coordination, and endurance, and early exposure cultivates physical control, skills, and love of the arts that can last a lifetime. In our classes, students will discover Spanish flamenco music and dance techniques, helping to develop physical control, cultivate expression, and spark the imagination.

FLAMENCO classes explore dance technique such as arm and foot positions, rhythm, palmas, hand articulation, footwork, turns, across the floor exercises, and movement patterns. Cultural elements of flamenco and Southern Spain are incorporated through books, stories and activities.

Please select the session for which you are registering. Summer, 2023 classes run June 5-July 28, with no classes July 3-4. The end of course demonstration will take place the week of July 24 . *
Registration
Classes are held on a semester basis.

Full Summer tuition: $200 (7 classes) and a fin de curso demonstration.
    June-Only tuition:  $120 (4 classes)
    July-Only tuition:    $90 (3 classes)

    Siblings receive a 20% discount on tuition.

Flamenco attire:
Dance Attire
Proper clothes create a special atmosphere and promote a learning mindset within the classroom! Please provide the following for your children:

GIRLS:
- Flamenco dress* or a black leotard (or top) with flamenco skirt as shown in the above photos.
- Hard-soled black shoes with a velcro or elastic buckle or flamenco/folklorico shoes.** Hair neatly pulled back.
- NOTE: Please DO NOT purchase tap shoes for flamenco. Taps are very slippery, and pose a hazard for flamenco technique!

BOYS:
- White or black t-shirt, active-wear pants.
- Hard-soled dress shoes/boots or Flamenco/folklorico boots with dress socks.**

Please note: This list contains leotards and domestic shoes. The "Body Wrappers" skirt is available but tends to run long and may need alteration.

*Flamenco dresses are in low supply in the USA but can also be ordered from Spain. Flamenco skirts can be custom-made by a local dressmaker for $45 and worn with a black leotard. **Domestic shoes are recommended for price point and convenience. NO TAPS!

Session tuition is due the first day of class. Payment may be made by check to Spanish Arts, LLC, by Venmo to Julia-Chacon, or by Zelle to 602-741-9495. QR codes to my Venmo and Zelle accounts are below. I look forward to sharing flamenco with your family! Semester sessions are $475.
