At this time, the Oshkosh Area School District (OASD) is in the process of establishing a Diversity and Equity Advisory Committee, under the direction of Dr. Belynda Pinkston, OASD Executive Director of Human Resources.

The initial advisory committee will be comprised of two parent/guardian representatives from each school level (elementary, middle, and high), with the opportunity for additional involvement as the committee, and its purpose, evolves. The committee will aim to create a safe space for parents, guardians, and caregivers of students of color to connect and increase district engagement, as well as to share feedback and experiences to further guide the District’s efforts. Individuals interested in serving on the initial advisory committee are asked to complete a brief interest form or contact Dr. Belynda Pinkston to discuss their interest (belynda.pinkston@oshkosh.k12.wi.us).

Selection will occur based on the information provided and remaining volunteers will be contacted as the committee evolves and additional opportunities develop. The committee is expected to gather in early August and will develop a schedule of regular meetings.
