This program provides high intermediate / advanced level English language learners with the knowledge, practical skills, certifications, and English language skills required to be competent Medical Assistants.
Medical assistants complete administrative duties such as answering phone calls, filing and updating patient records and filling out insurance forms. Medical assistants also perform clinical tasks in the offices of physicians, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities. These tasks include preparing and collecting laboratory samples, preparing patients for X-rays, and helping patients communicate with their physician.
