Thank you for your interest in SES PTO. The students and staff at SES need your help! You are a valuable asset to this Parent/Teacher Organization and to the support of our school. It takes a mighty fine crew to run a ship like ours at Screven Elementary. Lots of work and dedication goes into helping our Pirates succeed.

Are you interested in being an officer for SES PTO? *

President - Conduct and mediate all PTO Board meetings and all PTO general membership meetings. Make sure all activities are being handled correctly and timely. Signature on checking account. Liaison between administration and PTO members. Sit on all committees. Handle functions related to the purchase and sale of school spirit items and shirts. Assist Staff Coordinator with the scheduling and recruiting of volunteers.

Vice President - Fill in for President in his/her absence. Work with the President to form committees. Assist the president in handling functions related to the purchase and sale of school spirit items and shirts. Assist Staff Coordinator with the scheduling and recruiting of volunteers. Handle other tasks as assigned by the PTO President.

Treasurer - Keep all books, records and ledgers. Keep detailed reports of all expenditures. Provide monthly reports at every PTO Meeting. Process all fundraising monies. Do all deposits and banking. Collect all money at special events. Purchase supplies needed for special events. Signature on checking accoun

Secretary - Keep minutes of all PTO meetings and general membership meetings. In charge of correspondence from the Board. Coordinate field trips with teachers, as needed/required. Send reminders to parents/guardians about upcoming events. Generate and distribute a monthly school calendar to PTO members. Assist with flyers as needed.

Reporter - Coordinate any ads needed for local paper. Coordinate and publish a monthly PTO newsletter. Coordinate advertising for promotional materials, local papers and distribution of flyers to the school. (The Principal and PTO President must approve all articles, flyers and publications prior to distribution).

Not interested in being an officer but would love to still volunteer.
