This is a reparations project. Although we strongly believe every African American who is the descendent of enslaved people should have access to FREE ancestry kits this is not the case. So, in the name of reparations, And Still We Rise is working to fundraise money to purchase ancestry kits that can be shared with the African American communities of Massachusetts and Washington State. If you are a Massachusetts or Washington State resident, a descendent of enslaved African peoples, and someone who would be interested in learning more about your ancestry- let us know. Please share what you do know of your ancestors, as well as what you are hoping to learn by taking an ancestry test. As we fundraise, we will select individuals who submit their story (either in essay or video format) to receive free ancestry kits. Note: There is a limit of one (1) ancestry kit per family.
