Tecumseh Youth Theatre is a youth-serving, community based organization dedicated to bringing meaningful theatrical experiences to the young people of the Tecumseh and surrounding communities.  TYT sets an expectation for is cast of performers, crew and production team. That every individual will use good judgment as he/she makes decisions during the audition, rehearsal and performance week of any particular show.

Students are required to demonstrate a commitment to the show and the family contract, as listed below, during
the run of the show. It is the hope of TYT that because of each performers participation and experiences, they will
continue to make positive choices in their lives.

Participation in a TYT show demands every student’s observance and practice of good common sense, as well as
ethical behavior. Any person relating to a show who violates this code of conduct is subject to discipline, up to/or
including removal from the show.

 - No abusive language, rudeness or discourtesy of another student, volunteer or team member
 - No harassment or bullying at any time in any form; including verbal, physical, electronic or web based.
 - No use of illegal drugs, cigarettes, nicotine or alcohol
 - No use of dangerous materials (explosives, firearms, weapons)
 - No endangering your life or the lives of others around you
 - All students and crew need to cooperate and listen to direction and the expertise of the production team
 - Absences. Each show will set an allowed amount of unexcused absences. Any more than this can result in being
removed from the stage for the missed blocking/dancing/singing. The two weeks prior to show are mandatory for
all cast members regardless of outside conflicts.

Disciplinary Acton 1st Offense: Private meeting with the director and student. 2nd offense: Private meeting with
all parties involved 3rd offense: you will be released from the show.

I have read and understand the TYT family contract. I agree to abide by the guidelines described above and understand I may be removed from the current show at the discretion of the TYT board, if I violate any of these rules. The TYT board reserves the right to exclude and/or remove a cast member for serious infractions. I am allowing TYT and the production team to instruct my child for the purposes of theatrical production. I will not hold TYT, TPS, Infusion or TCA liable for any injury while on the premises of the TCA, Infusion Performing Arts or TPS before, during or after rehearsals/Shows
