Private Lessons Scholarship Form

The Otis Redding Center for the Arts is a division of the Otis Redding Foundation, offering students a space for creativity and music education. The foundation awards hundreds of talented students with scholarships to fulfill their dreams at a moment when they may not have access or resources accessible. Our mission is to empower, enrich, and motivate all young people through programs involving music, writing, and instrumentation.

The ORCA scholarship is awarded to students from age 5-18 with a great interest in music, particularly looking to pursue private lessons. Students are also awarded according to family’s income and or on a need-based scale.  Scholarships are awarded as follows:

  • Full scholarships will only be awarded on 30 minute lessons ( exception: Audio Engineering lessons and Songwriting)

  • Partial Scholarships (50%) are available on 30 minute and 60 minute lessons

Every student considering a scholarship will be interviewed by the Center Director, Executive Director, and their potential Private lessons instructor. The interview process allows the instructor and student to gather information about each other and express interests that may benefit in their weekly private lessons. Skills, experience, and interest are all considered before a student is awarded a scholarship.
