Dear incoming K-4th Grade Students and Parents,

We are excited to welcome you and our students to the upcoming 2021-22 school year.

Pioneer Academy is proud to offer three electives and one mandatory language course to elementary students during regular school hours.

Please read the details below and inform us which language course is your child's first preference and which language is your child's second preference for the 2021-2022 school year.

We will do our best to place your child in the language class they prefer, but please be aware that choosing a class as your child's first choice does not guarantee that they will have that class.

ELECTIVES:

English Reading & Writing / Math: This course is open for students who need extra support in English Language Art and Math classes.

Arabic Language: It is an additional world language course that provides an opportunity to improve Arabic reading, writing, and conversational skills. Students will engage in various activities related to vocabulary acquisition, live dialogue, and cultural projects.

Turkish Language: It is an additional world language course that provides an opportunity to improve Turkish reading, writing, and conversational skills. Students will engage in various activities related to vocabulary acquisition, live dialogue, and cultural projects.

MANDATORY:

Note: The Spanish Language is a mandatory course taught to all students in grades 1 to 8.

At the beginning of the year, students will have two weeks of add/drop period if they like to change their elective. Please note that after two weeks, students are not allowed to change the selected course until the end of the year.
