Camp PolyHacks Organizing Team Interest Form
Camp Polyhacks is an ASI Student Club that organizes a yearly interdisciplinary hackathon focusing on local challenges. This event brings students from across campus together for a weekend to learn from community partners and tackle pressing problems in the community.

In the past, we have partnered with organizations like Amazon Web Services, US Geological Society, SLOCOG, SLO Office of Sustainability, DCR Design, and Hathway to focus on local challenges such as transportation infrastructure, designing inclusive digital spaces, climate change, remote work, and access to social services. Check out coverage of the event by KSBY and Cal Poly News.

We need you! We are looking for students from across campus to join the planning committee to coordinate, promote, design, and run the event in the Winter of 2024. This is a great learn-by-doing experience that may count for class credit (e.g., internship) and/or senior project. Plus, you'll work closely with a fantastic team. In turn, you will:
  • Gain hands-on experience and hone practical skills
  • Join a close-knit team of passionate students
  • Build relationships and network with industry professionals
