Healthy Franklin County is helping promote
Everybody Walk Across Pennsylvania as part of its
Move for Mental Health education and awareness campaign. People who work or live in Franklin County are eligible to receive incentives for participating in the free, eight-week virtual walking challenge from
April 10, 2023 to June 5, 2023. Participants must register for the walking program
and incentives by
March 27, 2023. To be eligible for incentives, participants must select "Healthy Franklin County" from a dropdown menu when creating your team name (you will receive an email newsletter on
April 10th from Penn State Cooperative Extension that includes a
Team Name Creation Survey (Qualtrics Survey)) when registering for Everybody Walk Across Pennsylvania.
How it Works
You have many options to earn entries to win gift cards to
GIANT and WellSpan Health Market Bucks (vouchers that can be used to purchase
fresh fruits and vegetables from local farmers markets).
- Complete Everybody Walk Across Pennsylvania – 1 entry
per registrant
- Form a team of five – 1 entry per team member
- Register for Move for Mental Health newsletter –
1 entry
- Participate in the Mental Health Association of
Franklin/Fulton Counties “It Takes A Village
Wellness Conference” on May 5th, 2023 – 2 entries
- Participate in the Mental Health Association of
Franklin/Fulton Counties “Franklin County
Walk the Walk” on May 19, 2023 – 2 entries
- Participate in a “United Way of Franklin County May
of Caring” service project May 1st – May 12, 2023 - 2 entries
- Participate in a StoryWalk (Waynesboro) at The Institute on April 16, 2023 - 2 entries
- Participate in AT Trail Hike (Waynesboro) at The Institute on April 30, 2023 - 2 entries
- Participate in a StoryWalk (Waynesboro) at The Institute on May 14, 2023 - 2 entries
- Complete program survey – 1 entry
For entries earned by participating in programs hosted by the Mental Health Association of Franklin/Fulton Counties and the United Way of Franklin County, you must submit proof of attendance which can include a selfie photo from the event and or a signed letter
community participation letter. Please submit all proof of attendance documentation in one email by June 2, 2023 to npurdy@wellspan.org.
Incentives
At the end of the eight-week walking program, a random drawing
will be held to award 30 GIANT Food Stores gift cards valued at $50 each. Each winner
will also receive $10 in WellSpan Health Market Bucks. Participants can earn up
to 16 entries. The more you participate, the more chances you have to win.
