Evangelization: The primary goal of Alpha at Christ the King is to enable evangelization. Alpha is a place where those estranged from Christ may be welcomed and invited into relationship with Jesus and where we invite parishioners into the mission of the church through an encounter with Jesus, and by providing them with the means to share the gospel

Moral and Pastoral Support: As a team we value being Jesus to one another. Ministry invites the whole person into service and as a team we will pray for one another, listen to one another, and serve one another as able.

Learning: We are blessed to be able to receive resources and coaching from Alpha USA. As team we will learn together best practices and tips to strengthen Alpha at Christ the King.

Innovation: Alpha has the potential to shape and bless the culture of Christ the King as we embrace evangelization. As healthy culture development happens slowly yet as the culture beyond our church boarders changes rapidly, we must be nimble and ready to adapt based on what we are learning. Throughout the first 5-10 years of running Alpha, we need to expect the manner in which we host Alpha to change, even change dramatically, based on the needs of the parish and the needs of the world around us.

Attend bi-weekly Alpha Core Team meetings. One meeting per month will be with your respective sub-team (support team or pastoral team). The other meeting will be with both sub-teams combined

Participate as needed in the 2019/2020 Alpha sessions

Exhibit maturity in team communications. Each member of the team is expected to treat others with respect, communicate quickly when conflicts arise, and practice humility.

Maintain an active personal prayer life, participate in mass and in the sacraments, strive to bring the gospel to others
