ASUCR International Student Committee Spring 2021 Staff Positions Application
The ASUCR International Student Committee, under the ASUCR Office of the Personnel, are looking for active UNDERGRADUATE students here at UCR, who are willing to be part of the committee staff for the remaining of the year. Please fill out and answer the following questions of the application as clearly as possible, for a possible interview expected in the next few weeks.  
The purpose of being in the ASUCR International Student Committee is to ensure the inclusion and participation of campus-wide activities and academics of international students. Creating an encouraging environment that allows students to become active members of their communities inside and out of the UCR community.

This application is on an open application. There's no deadline.

The following positions are currently needed in the ASUCR International Student Committee:


Positions:

International Student Advocacy Advisor(s):
The International student advocacy advisor(s) works closely with the international student affairs advisor(s).
They will be responsible for cooperating with the international student affairs advisors on thinking of new directions and paths of getting international students and non-international students work together in and out of  ASUCR. Works alongside the Vice Chair and Activities & Events Advisor(s) on coming up with new inspirations and event/workshop mixers. Be knowledgeable on the structure & works of ASUCR for international students who would like to get involved. Be an active member of the UCSA International Student Coalition that advocated for International Students at a system wide level.

Activities & Events Advisor:
Works closely with the Co-Chairs and the Vice-Chair for plans regarding future collaborative events and any further creative future planning for ASUCR and the other Associated Students' international student leaders from different UC campuses as well.

Communications Advisor:
Similarly to the role of a secretary/historian, the communications advisor must write
down all notes during every single meeting of the committee, and help construct every agenda proposed to the committee's vice-chair, executive communications advisor and the ASUCR Personnel Director. The communications advisor must strictly record and report all itineraries, announcements and all things related to what the committee does throughout the year, whether that being events, issue proposals and discussions. The communications advisor must be an active listener and attentive to everyone's jobs in the committee. This position also requires communication and reaching out to other students/staff offices outside of ASUCR when necessary.
