Paraprofessional Certification Exam- Interest

Please complete this form if you are interested in taking the State funded Paraprofessional Certification Exam. 

The Paraprofessional Certification is for those who desire a position as an instructional assistant or substitute teacher in an elementary, middle, or high school.  The exam consists of 90 multiple choice questions that cover reading, math, and writing.  The exam focuses on basic skills in each of these areas and it also has questions about how to use those skills in the classroom.  Applicants will need a high school diploma to apply for a position in a school, but it’s not required to take the certifications exam.

Please Note: You do not have to live or work in Washington Township to take the the Parapro Exam.

I am aware that if I want to take the Parapro Exam at Washington Township Adult Ed (WTAE), I will first need to Register with WTAE and take the TABE assessment (a Reading and Math assessment) and achieve at least the minimum required score on both assessment before taking the Parapro Exam.  *
