RSVP for Installation: Accidentally Horses by Research Artist-in-Residence Ari Riggins

Research Artist-in-Residence Ari Riggins presents: Accidentally Horses

Sunday, April 21st | 1:30 PM - 4:30 PM

As a continuation of her work with motion capture projections and animation, Riggins creates an immersive space of both constructive and conceptual layers. She uses digital modeling, textile sculpture, animated projections and audience movement to investigate themes of digital landscape and the origins of computing. Inspired by the morphing and self-constructing landscapes of Assateague island and its origin-defying population of wild horses, Riggins explores how nature both constructs and breaks down technology. She searches for the humanity within programming and seeks to identify the threads between computers and nature.

Doors open and installation begins at 1:30 PM. Drop-ins welcome!

Capacity in the lab is capped at 40 audience members. Attendees who have RSVP'd before the event will have priority, and admission will be determined on a first come first serve basis on arrival. If you RSVP before the event but you arrive late, we reserve the right to give your spot to someone on the waitlist.

Attendees who have not RSVP'd will be put on a standby waitlist if they arrive in-person before the event.
