Sound of Aetherius is an immersive musical instrument. Inspired by Aetherius–the Greek God of the upper air and light–this sculpture will be played by both humans and the elements. A hexagonal prism of strings comes alive with ethereal music through interaction with the sun and wind.

This project is coming to regional cultural events, burns and festivals on the East Coast (tbc the West Coast) before finally landing on Playa this summer (Black Rock City). Places you can plan to see us next: FIGMENT Project NY, Playa Del Fuego.

We are currently deep in preparation for fundraising and welcome any experienced fundraising heroes!

Part of our installation requires us to order aluminium sheets (amplifying the sound), and we are looking for sustainable ways to source them. Please reach out if you have advice.
