*******Please note*******Thank you to those who have already submitted an application. Unfortunately we are not able to offer the course in Fall 2022. We plan to offer it again in Fall 2023. Welcome to the application for the MIT Space Exploration Initiative’s course on project development, prototyping, and deployment readiness for an annually chartered parabolic research flight. Admitted student teams will be offered project-deployment slots on the Space Exploration Initiative’s Spring 2023 parabolic flight.

Team members working on the same project that want to enroll in the course together do not need to submit additional applications. If possible, please list these members in the question that asks for it.

We may accept a limited number of students who do not have a project in mind and wish to be matched with one. Please indicate on the relevant question. Note that we have a very limited number of slots for those that are not bringing their own project.

Certain questions below ask for specific details of your project. It is not critical to have exact answers for these right now, as projects will evolve over the duration of the course. Please provide your best estimates. Letting us know now helps us best tailor the course material to match your project's requirements.

Note: Circumstances outside of our control can and have postponed the flight into the summer or even beyond (i.e. after graduation). We generally honor flight spots even for subsequently graduated/alumni members of the MIT community, if they complete the course. Please take this into consideration and plan accordingly.
