Footslog and Forage
We're excited for you to join us for this spring hike and forage event! We look forward to meeting and getting to know everyone.

What this is:
A friendly hike with other women that value conservation and want to learn and talk about foraging for wild edibles.

What this is not:
This event is not full service. Please bring food, water, and anything else you need for a hike. We will have a small snack available to test out some MN hunted and foraged items.

Date: May 13, 2023

Time: We will plan to meet at 10:30 and likely be back around 2:30

Location: Vermillion WMA. Meetup location will be provided after registration

What to expect: This will be a relaxed hike through the WMA with some off trail exploration. We can't promise but we are hoping to find some edible mushrooms and/or plants that we can forage. There will certainly be others that are not in season that we will talk about. We will also talk about different foraging laws and regulations for different types of public lands across the state.

What to consider: There are nice trails at Vermillion but it is likely that we will be doing some off trail exploration. Consider bringing bug spray or using permethrin on your clothing to avoid ticks. Bring food and enough water for yourself as well. Take a look at the weather and plan accordingly.
