Registration Closes: September 9th 2023

The SLHS Robotics Team / Club, a.k.a. The RoboSpartans, is a UIL team that is challenged each year to raise funds, design a team 'brand', hone teamwork skills, and build/program robots to perform prescribed tasks against a field of competitors. It's as close to 'real-world engineering' as a student can get. Volunteer professional mentors lend their time and talents to guide each team and we meet and build at the state of the art STEAM Center. Did you know over 25% of MIT accepted applicants were on an FRC team?

STEPS TO BECOMING A MEMBER:

1. Fill out and submit this online registration form

2. Read and sign the acknowledgement page of the Team Handbook   (https://tinyurl.com/mrxhvcd6)

3. Due by the last week of September: Online FIRST STIM Student registration (http://bit.ly/2Alawxn). Registration will open in September. Our FRC Team number is 4639. New students will need to create an account. If under 18, a parent will also need to create an account and give online consent for student to participate. The above link is to the instructions on filling out the registration. Returning students will need to register every year.

4. Due by the first week of September: Online VEX Robotics Student Registration (https://www.robotevents.com/consent). Registration is already open. Our Team numbers are: 3532. New students will need to create an account. Returning students will need to register every year.

5. Submit Membership fee of $150 (mandatory) and Booster Club Membership $150 (optional but encouraged) (checks made payable to SLHS Robotics Booster Club) together with a signed copy of the Registration forms.  Student will receive two t-shirts and one pair of safety glasses.
