South Bay Regional Fire Fighter Academy does not establish a “waiting list." The fire academy enrollment is based on first-come, first-serve once registration opens. The academy class size is limited to 30 Recruits and 5 standby spots. Any students in a standby position will be contacted by Fire Academy staff. The academy classes fill very rapidly, usually within 72 hours once opened.

Persons interested in being notified of the next Fire Fighter Academy may request to be placed on the “Fire Fighter Academy Open Registration Notification” email list. To be placed on the “Fire Fighter Academy Open Registration Notification” email list for the next academy, complete the interest form below. You must supply responses to all of the questions or the system will not add you to the list.
