Why volunteer with MRCC?
MRCC has made huge strides in our fight for a transparent and equitable cannabis industry in Massachusetts. And we’ve hit an important milestone– we’re expanding from a 501c4 political group to a nonprofit that provides healing justice programs rooted in racial justice, abolition, and a reparations framework.
We need more funding to do this work so we can pay our people fair and thriving wages and scale our programs to meet the needs of our community. Very little philanthropic $$ goes to grassroots organizing, and even fewer dollars go to Black-led groups like MRCC. Our staff are working hard to navigate this transition while building out exciting new programs but we can’t do it without more capacity. That’s where you come in.
