Bringing back a popular tradition, The Virginia Jaycees
annually selects Outstanding Young Virginians and honors them at an awards
program to celebrate many accomplishments. The awards ceremony showcases a
winner’s career and provides a stage for the honoree to challenge and inspire
Virginia’s young people. This year we
are opening the selection process to FIVE

Young people of all fields of endeavor may be nominated
for the Outstanding Young Virginian award. An individual, organization,

record of adherence
to the principles embodied in the United States Jaycee Creed:
WE BELIEVE:
That faith in God gives meaning and purpose to
human life;
That the brotherhood of man transcends the
sovereignty of nations;
That economic justice can best be won by free men
through free enterprise;
That governments should be of laws rather than of
men;
That earth's great treasure lies in human
personality;
And that service to humanity is the best work of
life.
