Dear Parents/Caregivers

Your child has expressed interest in representing the school in the Harbour Hockey College (Year 9 and 10) Competition.

Details are as follows:

COMPETITION COMMENCEMENT DATE -  Games played in Term 2 and 3.
College Boys - Wednesday 5th May 2021
College Girls - Thursday 6th May 2021

VENUE
Harbour Hockey Stadium, 159 Bush Road, Albany or
Rangitoto School, Kristin School, Westlake Girls.

COMPETITION PLAYING DAY AND TIME
Boys -  Wednesdays between 4pm - 7.30pm
Girls - Thursdays between 4pm - 7.30pm.

TRAINING - Teams will have a minimum of one training per week, which will be held on the school turf either before or after school. Training days and times will be advised once teams and coaches confirmed.

TRIALS - Details to be advised once registrations closed.

UNIFORM
Boys - AJHS Playing shirt will be provided, AJHS PE shorts (Navy) and  AJHS Maroon socks (Socks available to purchase for $20.00 from AJHS uniform shop).
Girls  - AJHS Dress will be provided and AJHS Maroon socks (Socks available to be purchased for $20.00 from AJHS uniform shop).
Both shirts and dresses are to be returned at the completion of the season.

TRANSPORT - It is the responsibility of parent/caregivers to either transport their child to the games and trainings each week or to arrange for another parent/caregiver to transport them. The school does not provide transport for this competition.

REGISTRATION FEE - $220.00 per student for season

COMPULSORY ADMINISTRATION FEE - $25.00 (One payment of $25.00 will be charged regardless of the number of sports played)

For this length of time and at this level of competition each school team requires a coach and a manager.
As a coach you will be required to take a minimum of one training per week and also be available at the games. For team training's the school's facilities would be available for use before or after school. Standard training times are either 7.30am in morning or 3.30pm to 4.30pm after school.
Managers are required to organise the team, ensuring all players and parents/caregivers are aware of game times and trainings. The manager will also be required to attend games each week.

Without parent volunteers it is impossible for teams to participate in the competition so if you are available to assist with either role please tick the appropriate box on the form.

To ensure your child is registered for Year 9 and 10 Hockey, please complete the following form and submit by Friday 5th March 2021. Please also ensure that the registration fee of $220.00 plus $25.00 Administration Fee is paid by Friday 5th March 2021. If there is an issue with payment, please do not hesitate to contact me to discuss payment options.
