Running Start Scholarship Application - Kalaeloa Partners
This scholarship is to assist high school students enrolled in an early college access program (Running Start, Early Admit) pay for costs associated with attendance such as tuition, books, materials, or fees.

Awards will be made first come, first served basis for qualified students and will cover costs for a maximum of 12 credits.  Applications for Summer and Fall 2024 will not be accepted after May 3rd. The course(s) you are applying for funding can not replace any Early College course offered by your campus.  Lastly, you must be registered for the course in order to receive funding.

Eligibility Criteria
1.  High school student enrolled in a college access program, taking courses in any area of study at Leeward
Community College (which may include the Waiʻanae Moku campus)
2.  Home-campused at Leeward
3.  If an existing Early College Student, must have earned at least a “C” in a UHCC Early College course
4.  Academic merit as demonstrated by a minimum high school GPA of 2.0.
5.  Must be a resident of the State of Hawai‘i
6.  Must be currently enrolled at one of the following high schools:
     Campbell High School
     Kapolei High School
     Nanakuli High School
     Waiʻanae High School
     Waipahu High School
Public charter schools serving Ewa Beach, Waipahu, Kapolei, Makakilo, Barbers Point, Nanakuli, or Waiʻanae
communities or home schooled and residing in the area.
7. Funded courses cannot replace any Early College course offered by the student’s campus.
8. Applications for Spring 2024 will not be accepted after November 30.
