COACHES CODE OF CONDUCT I understand that my responsibility as a coach in the BDL league is a very important one. It is a role that this is critical to the Mission, Philosophy and success of the league. As such, I agree to abide by the following principles or rules: 1. I will promote good sportsmanship. I will follow all league sideline rules that only 1 coach per team is allowed to be standing during a game. 2. I am committed to promoting good basketball fundamentals – It is the BDL's philosophy to develop a strong foundation to develop fundamental basketball skills. This is a developmental league, not the WIAA state championships. 3. I will promote a positive atmosphere. 4. I will respect the authority of the referees. I will follow league procedures to voice my concerns regarding referees. 5. I understand if I receive 2 technicals in a game I will be required to leave the gym. 6. I will have my team take care of the facilities we play in. 7. I understand I am responsible for all members of my team during, before and after games. I will do my best to help event administrators to work with any parents and spectators representing my team that are not promoting positive sportsmanship during events if asked to do so. *
