Traveling music festival food vendor seeking customer service/kitchen help for the 2024 festival season.
About Us: FreeWheelin Pizzeria is a family collaboration, founded in the fall of 2021 to serve delicious pizza anywhere and everywhere. We travel to music festivals large and small across the U.S., baking wood-fired Neapolitan-style pizza. We have experience in high-volume festival vending and know how to get food out quickly and keep lines moving while maintaining a high standard of quality and customer service. Our dough is house made and hand stretched for a flavorful crust that is both soft and crunchy. Our toppings are fresh and simple. And it takes 90 seconds for a pizza to cook in our 900 degree wood-fired ovens.
Our core crew travels with us throughout the festival season (April-November). Whether you like Rock, Bluegrass, Folk, Country, Indi, Alternative, R&B, Pop, etc., you'll have the chance to see some of your favorite acts! We are booking over 30 festivals in around 20 different states for our 2024 season. We try to have fun on the road and take time to explore the area wherever we go.
We take care of travel transportation, accommodations (airbnb, hotel, or camping), and most meals on the road! You get paid for hours spent working at festivals including set-up/teardown. Pay begins at $15.00 an hour, plus tip share. This will almost always total somewhere between $900 and $1,500 per festival, but there may be outliers. Expect to work about 40 hours per show. We offer flexible scheduling but are looking for folks who will be available most weeks. We regularly re-evaluate pay and give raises based on performance and experience.

We're looking to fill two positions:
1. Customer Service: We are looking for someone with customer service experience, particularly experience that requires them to work very quickly to serve a large volume of customers rapidly. If you have experience as a grocery store clerk, bar-tending, serving, or in fast food counter/drive through positions, you likely have the skills we are looking for. As you become familiar with the booth we may train you to help with prep, cooking, expediting, and other things, but we would start you out taking orders.
2. Mechanically Inclined & Able to Lift Heavy Objects: We are looking for someone who is mechanically inclined and able to trouble-shoot minor repairs on restaurant equipment. We also need you to be able to lift heavy objects in order to assist with loading in and out of events. We'd prefer someone who is comfortable backing up trailers. You would mainly do kitchen work in the booth, but we'd call upon your mechanical skills if needed.
Both Positions: Ability to work long hours on your feet, sometimes on little sleep. During a festival, we sometimes work early to late and then early again! We try to make sure everyone has time to rest and recoup between shows. You should be able to work efficiently, at a fast pace. We serve several thousand customers a day during busy shows, so we have to move very quickly. If you've done fast-paced restaurant work in the past, you probably have this skill. Some festivals are tent camping only so you should be comfortable camping. Good attitude and teamwork are a must!
