Sunnyside Gives Day is a dedicated day of fundraising hosted by the Sunnyside Foundation to support SUSD students, teachers, families, and the broader Southside community. It is always on September 22nd and has in-person and virtual elements.

Gives Day 5k Info:
In 2020, Niko Garms and Daniel Valenzuela ran 50+ miles from the Nogales, AZ border to San Xavier Mission  raising awareness and money for Sunnyside Gives Day.

This year, in collaboration with Ward 1, Ward 5, and the Sunnyside Foundation they've organized "Gives Day 5k" a FREE community run/walk for the whole family at Mission Manor Park on the Sunday before Gives Day from 8AM -1PM.

September 19th - Gives Day 5k Event Schedule:
8 - 9 am Vendor check in and set up
9:30 - 10:30 am 5k Fun Run
10:30 am - 12 pm Community fair
12 -1 pm Tear down
