The relevance of culturally motivated procedures in today's multicultural society
As someone from a Fijian-Indian background, my parents have experienced colourism through their interactions with people from a very young age and even into adulthood. The stories they have shared has motivated me to base my pip on the relevance of culturally motivated procedures in Australia's diverse society. Through my pip, I will investigate the socio-political implications of Eurocentric narratives on fair skin on the construction, development and reclamation of personal and social identities of South-East Asian Youths.
