Perspectives from human science, including the social sciences, behavioral sciences, and humanities, are more important than ever for understanding current events and addressing real-world problems. Recent examples include a Big Science project that has reignited the Hawaiian Sovereignty Movement, a crisis at Boeing after two airliners crashed because of a design problem, and an ongoing pandemic that's changing life as we know it. What these issues have in common is that they are created and driven by human decisions and culture.
