Girl STEMpowerment Geology Workshop! (Grades 6-8)
Join us on Saturday, April 13th from 10:00AM-11:30AM (grades 6-8) at the Christian St. Y Annex on the corner of 18th and Christian St. (1724 Christian St)! Students will learn all about rock, mineral, and fossil formation. We'll have a series of interactive activities to answer: How are different types of rocks and minerals formed? What does carbon dating tell us? How are fossils preserved? We even have our own samples to look at under our microscopes!

Girl STEMpowerment is a non-profit run by Penn students to host workshops to get more girls interested in science. Registration is free and open to all girls in grades 6-8; YMCA membership is not required.
