Welcome to the nomination form for 2023-2024 Officers of the Northern California-Don Quijote Chapter of AATSP! Please use this form to nominate someone or yourself for one of the available positions listed below.

Please note that the term for serving in these positions begins January 2023 and ends December 2024 (a two year term). Additionally, only members of AATSP in good standing may serve as Officers of AATSP Chapters.

This page outlines the positions available for nomination of officers for the Northern California-Don Quijote Chapter along with their corresponding duties and responsibilities. Please review this list before nominating individuals on the next two pages.

Chapter Officer Positions and Responsibilities
ELECTED POSITIONS:

President-Elect: This officer is in line to be President. The President-Elect term allows time for the incoming President to learn about the role of President, become familiar with Chapter procedures and programs, and plan for the term of presidency.

Treasurer: Responsible for submitting a series of documents to the National Office once a year in order to receive funds for use in Chapter activities such as conference travel stipends awarded annually by the Chapter.


APPOINTED POSITIONS:

Secretary: Take minutes at meetings and archive the minutes and important documents for the future of the Chapter.

Communications Coordinator: Responsible for the content of the Chapter website and e-newsletter. This position is supported by the Executive Council, who should provide special software for the layout and design of the newsletter and/or training in the use of the software.

Poster Contest Coordinator: Organize and coordinate submissions for the AATSP annual poster contest. Each year the AATSP sponsors the poster contest that is open to K-12 Spanish and Portuguese students whose teachers are current AATSP members.

Photo Contest Coordinator: Encourage nominations for the AATSP annual photo contest. VisitĀ www.aatsp.org/photocontest for more information.

Public Relations: Organize and schedule meetings and presentations that inform members as well as the general public about the benefits of world language study.

Webmaster: Responsible for maintaining and updating the Chapter website.
