BC Earthquake Alliance
About us

Founded in 2010, the BC Earthquake Alliance (BCEA)'s mission is to build a culture of earthquake and tsunami preparedness, through efforts such as the Great British Columbia ShakeOut. Our vision:

Before an earthquake or tsunami:

·       British Columbians take active steps to ready themselves, their families, their businesses, and their communities for earthquakes.

·      British Columbians perpetuate a self-sustaining culture of readiness by sharing their readiness activities with one another.

During an earthquake or tsunami:

·      British Columbians take appropriate action to minimize associated injuries, loss of life, and property damage.

After an earthquake or tsunami:

·       British Columbians survive, recover, and prosper.
