NJHS 2022-23 APPLICATION (Due Sept. 9)
THIS APPLICATION IS FOR STUDENTS WHO WILL BE 8TH & 9TH GRADERS DURING THE 2022-23 SCHOOL YEAR AND WOULD LIKE TO APPLY FOR THE 2021-22 SJMS CHAPTER OF NATIONAL JUNIOR HONOR SOCIETY.

8TH GRADERS WHO WERE ALREADY AN NJHS MEMBER IN 2021-22 DO NOT NEED TO REAPPLY.

To be accepted into the program, as well as to remain in good standing, the following criteria will be considered:

Scholarship (having a 3.7 grade point average each quarter)

Citizenship (no Ns or Us and having no more than 2 tardies each quarter).

Besides scholarship and citizenship, we are interested in students with strong backgrounds in Service, Character, and Leadership. Students will be required to perform 4 hours of community service per quarter as an additional requirement to remain in good standing in this program. More information on how to earn these hours will be provided when you are accepted into NJHS.

The purpose of NJHS is to create enthusiasm for scholarship, render community service, promote leadership, develop character, and to encourage good citizenship. Briefly explain why you would be a good candidate for NJHS membership. *
