Design Discussions in Code Reviews: Survey
With this survey, we are attempting to better understand the nature of design discussions that occur during code reviews. Based on our pilot studies, we estimate that it should take ten minutes to complete.

Criteria For Participation
We are seeking participants who meet the following criteria:
- Software professionals who regularly participate in code reviews
- Have not participated in this survey before
Study Objectives
This survey aims to collect insights from software professionals about their experiences with design discussions that occur during code reviews.

Broadly speaking, this study has the following objectives:
- Build an understanding of the impact of design discussions on the code review process.
- Gain insight into the different types of design discussions that arise in code reviews.
- Understand the difference in experiences with design discussions when professionals are in the code reviewer and code author roles.
Statement on Data Use
The information collected in this research will be used in academic talks, materials, and publications. We will treat any information that you provide as confidential unless otherwise specified by you. We will not share or publish any data that can be used to link individuals with their responses or that indicates who participated in the study.
