Every Spring, grade 3 and 4 students take the RI state assessment called RICAS (Rhode Island Comprehensive Assessment System) in English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics. The state assessment will be administered this Spring for all in-person and distance learning students. Every school in RI must develop a plan to assess our Distance Learners in person.  On the testing days, your child will need to come to Hope Valley School to take the test. The Hope Valley School Assessment Team has decided to test all DL students at the same time socially distanced, in the gym. Once your child has completed the test, the office will notify you for pick up.

The district is providing Distance Learners with bus transportation to school on RICAS testing days.  Please let us know by March 12th if you will be using bus transportation or transporting your child yourself.  

Infrastructure Practice Test on 4/1 - Distance Learners will be able to participate in the practice test from home.

RICAS Testing dates for Grade 3 - ELA will be on 4/5 & 4/6 and Math will be on 4/12 (9:00 session 1 and 12:45 for session 2)

RICAS Testing dates for Grade 4 - ELA will be on 4/8 & 4/9 and Math will be on 4/13 (9:00 session 1 and 12:45 for session 2)
