Again we want to make this as much like the state show but recognizing our sometime forgotten youth.
Last year was huge success.

General Rules
1. 100 PERCENT PAY-OUT, All entry fees and sponsorship monies. This is a community service project from the Ben Hill FFA to the South East Youth Swine Exhibitors. Open to exhibitors from Georgia and Florida.
2. All animals must be checked in prior to 8:30 am Saturday, February 10th.
3. Show is open to anyone from Georgia and Florida. Second Grade and Under. Not eligible to show in the
State Show. Must be able to exhibit animal without assistance. No substitute showman.
4. Pigs will be penned 2 pigs per a pen. Bring a divider if you need one. Pens are 5’ X 5’. Penning will be first
come, first served. After barn is full pigs will have to show off the trailer.
5. All animals must have health papers at time of unloading. All market swine must be blood tested PRV and
Brucellosis negative and have an official health certificate.

A limit of 2 entries per an exhibitor if owned by the exhibitor prior to January 5, 2023. May register 3 but
only show 2. (pay for 2) All animals must have been in possession of exhibitor before January 5, 2024.

A limit of 2 entries if it is owned by a brother or sister before January 5, 2024. May register 3 and show 2
(pay for 2)

A limit of 1 pig if borrowed from the show committee through the lottery. Exhibitors showing lottery pigs
will only be eligible for prize money and awards in showmanship. They will be eligible for awards only in
class. Prize monies won in class and top 5 with lottery pigs will be donated back to the show for next
year.
9.
Ownership. All animals must be exhibited in the name of the exhibitor. Any pigs shown in this show will
NOT be eligible to be shown at the Georgia National Livestock Show and Rodeo on February 21-24 (State
Show).

Entry form must have tag numbers and ear notches listed on entry form. A picture of the exhibitor with
the pig is also required. Pictures can be emailed to:

All animals are subject to the same drug testing as define in the state rule book. If animal is selected
prize monies will be held.

Exhibitor must show their animal in showmanship.
13.
Showmanship will begin with the youngest to the oldest. Plans are to split showmanship based on age. i.e.
4 year old's, 5 year old's, 6 year old's, 7-9 year old's. At day of Registration, Pending sponsorship- buckles for each age group winner.
14.
Classes will be split based on weight 10 max per class. Banners for top ten in each class.
15.
Plans are to Recognize the Top Five Barrows and Top Five Gilts.
16.
The judge’s decision is final in all classes.
17.
Show officials reserve the right to make changes deemed to be in the best interest of the show.
18.
Showmanship money will be 100% pay out of all entry money received for that age
group or better if sponsorship is secured. We are contemplating awards instead of money (maybe).
19.
Champion, Reserve, 3rd, 4th, and 5th overall will receive additional prize money and/or awards
20.
Class money will be paid to 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place, deeper if sponsorship funds are available.
21.
No clipping of pigs at the show.
22.
The Ben Hill FFA or any associated agency or any of its affiliates accepts any responsibility or assumes
any risk for injury to the exhibitor or animal due to or resulting from participation in the Ben Hill FFA
sponsored shows.
The Ben Hill FFA will have a concession stand with home cooked items available for breakfast, lunch and snacks.
