Each year, the Salem-Kawagoe Sister Cities group awards grants to help foster the relationship between the USA and Japan through our own local community in Salem, Oregon. These grants are grounded in educational and cultural interactions with Japanese and Japanese-American history, culture, and language.

The Salem-Kawagoe Sister City group awards grants at three levels: $100 micro-grants for educational resources; $500 supporting grants to contribute to project funding; and $1000 grants to fully or significantly fund projects.
