Background:
Asia Solar Energy for Climate Change Conference (ASECCC) 2024, which will be held virtually from 26-28 June 2024, organised by CCIL, held mid-way between COP28 and COP29, serves as a stark reminder of the insufficiency of current efforts to address the climate crisis. The theme of this year is “The Future of Renewables: Closing the Gap for Energy Just Transition in Asia”. ASECCC urges national governments, international organisations, and all stakeholders to unite, prioritise renewable energy expansion, and take decisive action for a livable planet.
