Parent Masking Survey
The May-Port CG School District is committed to keeping our students in school.  We have had seven students test positive for COVID-19 within our school district within the first two weeks of school.  That number along with the extremely high number of student absences are alarming.  Please remember that there is no distance learning option for schools this year.  We are very interested in receiving your input regarding masking within our schools.

Students who have a fever or have lost taste or smell are required to stay home.  In an effort to keep students in school we are allowing students with other symptoms to take a rapid test to screen for COVID-19.  Students with symptoms are expected to wear a mask to protect others from getting sick.  If students are not willing to test or wear a mask, they will be required to stay home.

Required
Do you feel that these current mitigation efforts are adequate at all levels K-12? *
It may be very difficult to maintain social distancing and ensure safe hygiene practices with our elementary students. Are you supportive of having separate approaches in our buildings? (Mandatory masking at PBJ and using the TEST-MASK-Go HOME at the MS/HS) *
School buses represent a high potential for transmission of respiratory illness due to the inability to social distance.  Students are also exposed to a large number of students that they would not otherwise be exposed to.
Do you support masking on all buses? (including extracurricular trips.) *
Last school year we were able to keep students in school, in large part due to masking of students and staff in all indoor areas.
Are you in favor of mandatory masking for all staff and students (k-12) for all indoor areas? *
