Arome’s mission is to provide a world of flavors to our customers through a variety of consciously sourced loose-leaf teas spices, herbs, salts, sugars, balsamic vinegar and olive oils. Located in downtown Hood River, Oregon, we carry a uniquely curated selection of gourmet kitchen wares and we go to great lengths to find local products and provide all-natural ingredients.

The Retail Sales Associate works closely with store management to fulfill Arome’s mission and strive for established store goals such as annual sales and average ticket. The Associate assists with customer service, inventory management, online order processing, store cleanliness, and store opening and closing procedures.

Qualifications & Experience:

18 years of age or older
Courteous, positive and professional, comfortable working with the public
Have a passion for food, cooking, and teas
Previous sales experience in a retail environment
Able to commit to work weekends
Customer Service background
Basic computer skills; ability to be trained on using a computer based Point of Sales System,
Employment in job is subject to a satisfactory background check

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

Previous experience with e-commerce and inventory management
Local knowledge of the Columbia Gorge Area
