Proposed amendments to the Water Sharing Plan for the Macquarie Bogan Unregulated and Alluvial Water Sources 2012 to facilitate active management
Public consultation on proposed amendments to the Water Sharing Plan for the Macquarie Bogan Unregulated and Alluvial Water Sources 2012 to protect environmental water used in-stream has commenced and will conclude at 5 pm on Tuesday 29 Oct 2019.

An increased level of management, called active management, is proposed to protect environmental water being used in-stream for environmental purposes.

The proposed changes apply to the Lower Macquarie River and Marthaguy Creek Water Sources.

These proposed changes are in addition to proposed amendments to the Water Sharing Plan for the Macquarie Bogan Unregulated and Alluvial Water Sources 2012 already exhibited between November 2018 and February 2019. At that time, the approach to active management of environmental water was being developed.

The additional proposed amendments to implement active management will be included in the submission of the Macquarie-Castlereagh Surface Water Resource Plan for accreditation by the Commonwealth Government.
