This is an application to become a volunteer team member for PhD Balance. This is a 6-12 month position, with the possibility of renewal.

Filling out this form does not commit you to anything. The PhD Balance President will reach out to each person who fills out this form to schedule a short meeting, where teams, tasks and expectations of the individual volunteer will be discussed. You will then decide if you want to volunteer for us.

There are several open positions on our different teams, each of them require approximately 4-6 hours per week time commitment.

Tasks for each team include: (Volunteers won't do all tasks, these are team tasks.)

Social Media & Discord: Respond to DM's and comments, post photo and text to feed, re-post stories/tweets, engage with trending topics, graphic and concept brainstorms, help run our discord server.

Website Management: Update and add web pages, maintain basic aesthetics and functionality, track web analytics, respond to messages posted through site

Content and Editing: Edit personal stories sent in by community, corresponding with writers to collect necessary text and photos, post finalized versions to online messaging system
 
Grad Chat: help schedule guests, oversee takeovers, tech support during shows, hosting, post-show audio/video editing, transcription of episodes
